Al aka The Al: Lead guitar/lead vocals
Born October 27, 1981, Al learned to play guitar at 16. Bands like “Tool”
and “At the Drive In” helped him on his way and still deeply
influence his song writing. Playing in many groups including a cover
band, rap metal, jazz and hard rock acts, all helped build up and form
what Boy Charlie is.
Collecting, modifying, customizing and restoring guitars are also major
passions. Al loves guitars, end of story.
Keahler the K-man: Drums/vocals
Keahler has been alive for 18 years and has been drumming for 9. “My
first drum set my brother made out of a saw horse with ice cream pails
attached to it. I played it with chopsticks. I thought it was so cool!”
Kaehler started drumming on stage when he was 11 years old. It was
no mistake that Keahler joined Boy Charlie, since then the band has
become more and more committed to using their lives as examples that
God is real and an everyday force for a better life.
Keahler is influenced by many worship and metal bands combined like
Disciple and he brings tons of extra energy to the group.
The Planet Dan: Bass/vocals
Dan has been playing guitar since he turned 16. He can play just about
every kind of instrument. Through out his various band careers he
has taken the form of a Drummer, a guitarist, a bassist and sometimes
a vocalist. He now wishes for a full scale xylophone. Dan creatively
pulls from Artists such as Mr. Bungle, David Bowie, and Joe Satriani.
He has a number of experimental side projects one is called Sober
Legit; he and a friend experiment with random noises.
Dan is also a dedicated artist and created almost all of the Album
art for Boy Charlie’s recent full length recording “…sky
came falling.”
