Good Question

Sean Goebel and Anthony MacDonald teamed up and began writing songs in the summer of 2003. The two ambitious writers set out to separate themselves from the crowd and develop a fresh new rock sound. According to Sean, “We wanted to approach this project with no preconceived ideas of how we were going to sound, but to use every aspect of our musical backgrounds' to produce dynamic, interesting music.” This duo is the creative force of the group and gives the band deep musical roots, with stylistic influences ranging from rock, jazz, blues, funk to classical.

In the spring of 2004 “Good Question” performed for the first time at the University of Calgary. Since then the band has recorded a ten-song album, “What’s the name of the band?” The CD features a unique combination of textures that include heavy guitars, horns, timpani, keyboards, and violins. The band plans to release the album in the spring of 2005. Two songs have been featured in the independent film "The Morning After" and the group has received positive reviews from Capitol News Online. The group has performed fifteen shows and is preparing to play a variety of festivals in Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver.

“Good Question” believes that good music goes hand in hand with a great show. The band brings energy to the stage by incorporating audience interaction, lighting effects, smoke, and stage antics designed to captivate the listener. You might be lucky enough to catch Anthony hanging upside down playing the keyboard
