Six Pack Jacket

It was a strange night in the mountains of the Okanogan when bands and various hippies and bikers sat around campfires during a hemp festival waiting to play the next day. It was here that a guitar player from a metal/glam rock band met up with two guys from a three chord goofy as hell punk band and said, "Dude, we should get together and form a country punk band." Because... why not?

The three moved to Vancouver and started playing together. The members who used to have trouble writing songs that were over a minute long suddenly began writing four minute rock songs, and the guy who actually knew how to play and write music started coming up with two minute punk songs. Throw in a country song or two and the boys started playing shows in the scuzziest venues Vancouver had to offer.

From the bright lights of the Cobalt to some guy's stink-ass basement, Six Pack Jacket knows that there's nothing too low for their rock 'n' roll. These humble beginnings begat humble middles but five years later, much as a flea clinging to the backside of a mangy sheepdog, this band stubbornly refuses to submit to a humble end. A fresh start in Calgary has been a shot of Viagra to their flaccid egos and now, anything seems possible.

Keep an eye on these fellas because, lets face it, with their debut album on the horizon, they're on the way up. They have to be.

Six Pack Jacket is:
Hank Gritt - Vocals, Guitar
Napalm Willy - Guitar, Vocals
Bernie Budrow - Drums
Owen - Bass
