FEATURED ARTIST ::

One of the leaders of the western heavy music revolution, Caveat released their debut album, "The Biggest Secret" (independent), in May 2004, to favourable reviews from the local music community. More than a year later, the group returned with a self-titled EP that has their fans banging their heads in approval. If "The Biggest Secret" was the sound of a band trying to find it niche, Caveat’s follow up EP is an unapologetic shout to forge ahead, devil horns to the sky. To understand the evolution of this unique band, one only has to look at the origins of Caveat. Formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 2002 by Greg Musgrave (vocals/guitar) and bassist Terry Baldwin, Caveat enlisted percussionist Casey Rogers in late 2003. The trio recorded a full-length album, entitled "The Biggest Secret", in 2004 but soon realized their desire to broaden their sound with a second guitarist. This led to a brief hiatus from performing for Caveat, as ex-Thorazine shredder Joe Sikorski joined the fold and the band went to work on writing new material and refining their sound.
In 2005, the newly cemented line-up produced a professional, five-song EP, featuring 26 minutes of accessible, progressive metal that combines aggressive metal vocals with three-part harmonies, funk influenced bass lines and traditional thrash-metal guitar riffs. Besides showcasing three new tracks, the EP also includes re-recorded versions of “Immortalized” and “State of Grace” from 2004’s "The Biggest Secret" with the intent of demonstrating the extent to which the band sound has improved since their earlier release...more

Welcome
Our Newest Members of the Cyclone Family
Some
of you may remember the 80's rock band, Toronto. For those that don't,
they released 5 albums in the early 80's, selling over 660,000 copies
and had a string of seven Top 40 hits, the biggest of which was "Your
Daddy Don't Know" and "What About Love" which was later recorded by Heart.
We are pleased to announce that we are releasing a "new" solo album by
Holly Woods that was recorded in the mid-80's but never saw the light
of day. Recorded in Atlanta with famed producer Sonny Limbo and re-mixed
by our very own Brad Trew, this album has some classic Toronto licks and
hooks with some signature Holly soul and R&B thrown in.
Check out Holly on 21 July 07 when she is interviewed by Canadian rock legend Greg Godovitz (Goddo) on Toronto's CFRB 1010 Rock Talk. You can listen in at www.CFRB.com. Also, you can check out an archived version of an artist spotlight with Holly on 80's Meltdown, a syndicated network program with a worldwide audience here.

Only For the Moment
Eternal
Infidels hail from Montreal, Quebec and its members have been staples
in the Quebec and Ontario touring circuit for 15 years. With a killer
video already making its rounds, this band has a sound that is instantly
familiar but still hauntingly elusive. We are currently in the process
of re-issuing their latest album, Bizzar Behavior, with a new remix of
Remote Radio to promote directly to major radio.
You can hear what they are all about:
Eternal Infidels-Remote Radio

Cyclone Records Presents Honeymoon
Suite for Q107 Corporate Challenge
For those that missed it, we lined up classic Canadian rockers Honeymoon Suite to come in to the Q107 studios for a live performance on behalf of SmartCentres Inc. Needless to say, SmartCentres won the challenge by presenting not only a classic rock song as required but had on hand the actual band to perform it! As their reward, the Q107 "Derringer in the Morning" crew broadcast live from SmartCentres' head office. You can read more in our MySpace blog here.
