Inner Surge to Join Cross Canada Tour with Former Iron Maiden Vocalist
Paul Di'anno
Toronto, ON - June 2, 2006 -- Calgary's Inner Surge is set
to tour with Paul Di'anno of Iron Maiden fame. Di'anno, Iron Maiden's
original vocalist, will be doing 20 stops on the Canadian leg of his
world tour this September in support of his new album, "The Living
Dead" through Zain Records and the June 2006 release of Early
Classics featuring re-recorded early Iron Maiden material produced
by Canadian music veteran Tom Treumuth.
Inner Surge is an intense, politically and emotionally charged metal/punk
band from Calgary, Canada. The band has an explosive live show and
blends punk, rock, metal, hardcore, progressive, electronic and eastern
influences. With an eclectic, intense approach, the band explores
politics and deep seeded emotions in its music. The result is a sound
that is compassionate, yet unapologetically raw that will compliment
Di'anno's hard-edged sound.
"This tour was a natural progression for us" explains frontman
Steve Moore. Inner Surge's career has been growing in leaps and bounds,
with the recent release of their critically acclaimed "Signals
Screaming" through Cyclone Records. The press is calling the
release "one of the best exports that Canada has to offer"
by a band that "will reach worldwide notoriety." With the
inclusion of their human rights centered track "Retribution Song"
on the Polania Pictures' Cabras soundtrack and a video by Cabras director
Fredy Polania released on May 2nd, that exposure will grow even further.
The tour tentatively begins in Quebec City, PQ on September 6th and
terminates 6500kms later in Vancouver, BC on September 25th, 2006.
Specific dates, venues and cities will be announced as they become
available.
