Tripchord to Play "Heavy Metal Music Association Of Canada"
Fundraiser on July 8, 2006
Toronto, ON - June 11, 2006 -- Cyclone Records artist Tripchord
is set to headline the July 8th fundraising show for the Heavy Metal
Music Association of Canada at The Marquee, 280 Coxwell St., Toronto.
Also on the bill are Hamilton, Ontario's Threat Signal.
This show will
be filmed as a pilot for a metal TV show "Metal on Metal"
hosted by HMMAC CEO Ray "Black Metal" Wallace. The show
is described as a Heavy Metal version of "Soul Train" based
on Canadian acts with audience participation in "Metal Mental
Meltdown Trivia" were fans can win prizes based on answering
questions from the Heavy Metal board game of the same name.
About Tripchord:
Based in Toronto, Ontario, Tripchord formed in early 2000 and has
been a major force in Toronto's independent music scene ever since.
Never slowing down, but always taking the time to nurture their music
has made this band a "must see" show. With a unique blend of musicians,
Tripchord has been able to produce an original style of hard rock,
metal and funk. A successful CD release at 102.1 The Edge in 2003
opened many doors and allowed the band to venture onto the radio waves.
Tripchord is currently in the studio recording their next CD to be
released through Cyclone Records.
