Cyclone Records is currently seeking
unsigned bands for a unique, high profile compilation CD project. Bands
must be able to provide a studio-quality recording of original material.
The premise is this: most groups have a limited fan base with limited
means to broaden their coverage. They could release a CD and sell or
give it to 100 fans. Firstly, the costs would be prohibitive and, from
a promotion standpoint, they haven't expanded beyond their own circle
of influence. Now, if you combine a larger number of these groups into
one product who then each distribute the CDs to their fan base, the
exposure has been expanded 10 fold. Everyone is promoting you as they
promote themselves. A group that has 100 fans is now in the hands of
1000 or more!
But it doesn't stop there. These CDs are professionally replicated and
match the quality you would find in any major music retailer. Not only
does your music appear on the CD but it comes with a full-colour booklet
where you will have a full page to include whatever promotional material
you wish, such as a photo, band bio and contact/booking information.
We are also working in other markets across Canada with the intention
of releasing a regional and national compilation by the end of the year.

1. Unlike other labels, we do not charge
submission costs. Bands can submit as many songs as they like for
free.

for promotion or other set-up fees.
